- You are detailed and focus on consistently delivering quality to the food items being prepared.
- You take responsibility for on your station.
- You add to the positive atmosphere in the kitchen and are comfortable with supervision of any demi chefs and apprentices.
- You will assist in producing and developing new menu items that contribute to our excellent reputation for fine dining.
- You understand communication is critical to success and share issues, concerns and ideas as required while becoming involved in the day-to-day operation of your station
- You have proven results in delivering the same standards set forth by the head chef and the sous-chefs.
- You will assist in menu planning, specials, event menus and recipe development.
- You will assist in daily ordering and practice good consumption, while using only the highest quality of ingredients.
- You will ensure that all health and safety standards are practiced and enforced.
- You will practice effective methods of food preparation and cooking, sizes of portions and garnishing of foods to ensure that food is prepared as specified.
We know you have been doing this for awhile and expect you to... delegate effectively, use proper and modern kitchen vocabulary and be proficient in meat and fish butchery, sauce making, entremetier, soup making and basic pastry knowledge. Our CDP writes their own mis en place sheets and take initiative while also executing directions. In this role you will report directly to the executive chef, and you will have no direct reports.

- Chefs certificate-apprenticeship program.
- Minimum three years of cooking experience ideally within fine dining.
- Demonstrated strong attitude towards teamwork.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills.
- Proven results and knowledge of culinary terms and practices.
