NetZero Solar has an immediate opening for an apprentice and a journeyman to work with our team. We are a professional solar PV and licensed electrical contractor with visions and passion for making a significant impact in our communities. Are you looking for a career with significant growth opportunities? Working towards leading an installation crew and becoming an integral part of our team. While most of our work is in Victoria, BC, you can expect to do some out of town work as well. We also do large commercial projects, upper island projects and off-grid projects on our local islands from time to time. Experience within the electrical field is required for these positions.

**Responsibilities are as listed below but not limited to**
- Assist journeyman electrician with PV system wiring and installs.
- Work with fellow crew members to ensure compliance with system design and necessary electrical codes.
- Ensure all materials, tools and workspaces are clean and organized.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience to all customers throughout the installation process.
- Participate in daily job safety planning and hazard assessments.
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 1-year electrical experience in residential/commercial settings.
- Previous solar PV experience is preferred but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Fall arrest is a benefit but not required.
- Must have the ability to safely work at heights including on rooftops and climbing ladders.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely (40 pounds).

**Salary**: $18.00-$35.00 per hour
