SSR Mining - Seabee Gold Operation (SGO) is hiring for a Supervisor, Maintenance Operations.
About Your New Role:
Reporting to the Superintendent, Maintenance Operations, the Supervisor, Maintenance Operations, will work within the Maintenance Operations department and be responsible for providing operations, capital, and maintenance support to all areas of the SGO mine site. The Supervisor is responsible for managing job tasks and personnel on site as well as maintaining a high quality of installations that comply with the Canadian Electrical Code. This role will involve extensive inter-department interaction.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for site inspections and review electrical crews 5-point cards.- Responsible for the coordination of necessary repairs within production facilities.- Provide coaching leadership and technical support to the electrical team.- Review and delegate work notifications and ensure manpower and timeline objectives are met.- Supervise and coordinate electrical and instrumentation activities.- Working closely with operations and maintenance personnel, the electrical supervisor will plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance and capital work as well as participate in the development and implementation of programs to ensure equipment availability meets or exceeds established maintenance related targets.- Ensure upkeep of the preventative maintenance program, coordination of maintenance schedules to reduce downtime while maintaining health and safety standards and troubleshooting process maintenance issues.- High voltage systems maintenance.- Responsible for compiling daily reports to reflect accurate record of work performed as well as cross shift notes to ensure smooth transition between contracts.
Your Knowledge and Skills:
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.- The ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with the utmost professionalism, and discretion.- Confidentiality is essential.- A positive and proactive attitude towards safety is essential.
Your Education and Experience:
- Journeyperson Mechanic, Industrial certificate.- Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years’ experience.- Preferably experience in a mining industry with underground experience is considered an asset.
