**Our Acheson location has an opportunity for**:

- **Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT)**

**Expectations and Responsibilities of the Role**:

- An exceptional work ethic and the knowledge and experience to perform repairs on specialized equipment including; electrical inspection, diagnosis and troubleshooting of emergency apparatus systems
- Familiarity with high-voltage systems and EVs would be advantageous
- Ability to diagnose, repair and install all common truck and emergency vehicle hydraulics and pneumatics
- Personable professionalism with an abundance of common sense and the ambition to want to be part of a highly successful team
- A sense of company loyalty, with integrity and a willingness to learn about new ideas and equipment
- Proven trustworthiness and the ability to bring your best self to work, every day.
- Experience with repairs to Heavy Equipment (On-Road Trucks and associated equipment)
- Prior experience working on Street Sweepers, Municipal Tractors, Fire Apparatus (Pump and Ladder Trucks and associated equipment), Hydro Excavators, Refuse Trucks, Vacuum Systems, Hot Water Systems and Triplex pumps

**What Qualifications We Need from You**:

- EVT Certification is considered an asset, but not mandatory upon hire
- Interprovincial Red-Seal Journeyperson or Registered Apprentice designation and the entitlement to work as such in Canada.
- An understanding of NFPA standards is considered an asset
- Strong electrical, mechanical and hydraulic aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex faults.
- Flexibility to spend time completing Field Service Calls and in-shop work.
- Valid Driver’s License (Class 3 is an asset), recent Driver’s Abstract required.
- Must have own tools and CSA Safety Footwear.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
