Pharmacy Assistant

The pharmacy assistant’s responsibilities include:
- Receiving prescriptions from patients as per provincial legal/regulatory conditions.
- Processing Prescriptions with utmost accuracy making sure patient Information is entered or updated correctly, interpreting and processing prescriptions having thorough understanding of pharmacy abbreviations, drug names, dosage calculations, pharma-care and third party billing.
- Filling prescriptions accurately by selecting appropriate products as per prescription, performing accuracy checks, including visual and DIN checks as well as profile checks, counting / measuring / preparing appropriate products, Labeling and organizing prescriptions for the Pharmacist review. Gains necessary approvals for verbal refills where authorized; facilitates all aspects of Pharmacists cognitive services.
- Ordering and receiving inventory of all medication and pharmaceutical supplies.
- Processing sales transactions for medications and other pharmaceutical supplies.
- Directing all questions relating to prescriptions, health matters, or medications to the pharmacist.
- Answering all incoming telephone calls in a professional manner.
- Restocking shelves with medications and other pharmaceutical supplies.
- Ensuring that work areas are organized and clean
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
