**Position Overview**
Velocity Truck Centres Canada, formally doing business as First Truck Centre, is looking for an **Outside Parts Salesperson** for our Edmonton South dealership. The Outside Parts Salesperson is required to promote, sell, and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship approach.
**Primary Job Functions**
- Cold call new prospects.
- Revisit existing customers to ensure Velocity is top of mind for parts.
- Prospecting new potential customers to promote Velocity and DTNA programs.
- Expand ecommerce platforms.
- Visit designated territory, maintain CRM, and deliver products.
- Assist customers in selecting products and services that suit their needs.
- Delivery of parts if required, picking up new parts returns and cores.
- Utilize Computer systems to process parts and supplies, maintain records, prepare orders, post receipts, make sales contracts, stock adjustments and process credit requests.
**Required Qualifications**
- Experience in sales or knowledge of transportation industry.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills to determine appropriate actions.
- Customer service focused with strong communication skills to service and maintain customer relations including customer concerns.
- Proven results driven attitude.
- Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Post Secondary Education in Business, Sales or Marketing is an asset.
- Apprentice to Journeyman Parts Technician ticket is an asset.
- Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean drivers abstract.
