**About Us**:
We offer an innovative program designed to instill fundamental STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) concepts using a curriculum that creates a fun and enjoyable learning environment for children. Our programs create an environment that helps facilitate youth to discover their creativity, expand their imagination, and develop critical thinking skills. We do this through after school classes, summer camps, workshops, and birthday parties.

**This Position**:
We are currently hiring a **ROBLOX and Minecraft teacher** **Tuesdays 3:45pm-6:15pm. **Each class is 1 hour each, plus 30 mins prep time. You must be knowledgeable in one or both coding games. All technology, and some lesson plans, will be provided to the Instructor.

There may also be opportunities to start working birthday parties (weekends) and work other workshops with community partners if you'd like.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with children ranging from 8-12 years old
- Providing supervision while delivering the IDEA Lab curriculum (curriculum is designed for you).
- Establish a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care and friendly service.
- Executing emergency procedures as needed.
- Ensuring safety and well-being of all students.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in classrooms, multi-purpose area, storage areas, restrooms, etc.
- Working at on-site locations as required.
- Working at off-site and/ or online as required.
- This position requires after school hours (4-6pm) and may require weekend hours for birthday parties, workshops, and occasional hours for camp, an open house, training, etc.
- Communicates program needs continuously with Campus Director.
- Maintain a professional self-image and project the values of the school at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- At least 1-year experience in a similar role or position.
- Teaching or child-care experience.
- Passion for working with children.
- **Proficient in various coding languages and platforms (e.g., Scratch, Scratch Jr., Roblox, Minecraft [Java], Python) is required**:

- Proficient in LEGO WeDo kits, LEGO EV3s, Arduinos, or similar robotics systems
- Knowledgeable of group work & facilitation, conflict resolution & behaviour management.
- Flexible regarding time & availability.
- Ability to work independently.
- Current Standard First Aid / CPR-C certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Screening.
