Hi-Way 9 Express Ltd. is seeking a Field Health & Safety Inspector / Advisor in Edmonton, AB
This is a full-time position.
You will be working as a Field Health and Safety Inspector / Advisor. This involves protecting people by making sure that risks in the workplace are properly controlled. You'll ensure employees comply with all aspects of health and safety laws and company programs, and that the workplace is not the cause of ill health, injury or death.
The job description is not limited to the following:
- Carrying out workplace observations;
- Travel to 19 terminals across Alberta and Kootenay Region of BC will be required.
- Ensuring workers are utilizing suitable protective equipment, such as eye goggles, ear protectors or appropriate types of gloves and clothing;
- Performing mock CVSA inspections / worker observations and completing detailed paperwork;
- Providing training, educational support and coaching to existing and trainee employees.
The goal of the Field Health and Safety Inspector / Advisor is betterment in what is measured in the carrier profile.
Law enforcement or Department of Transportation experience is an asset. Holding a Class 1 license is preferred.
An excellent benefits plan is available to full time employees after 3 months.

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
