Community Living Alternative Services (CLAS) is committed to promoting the development and wellbeing of individuals who have developmental disabilities, to strengthen positive relationships between individuals and their community, and to promote inclusive living.

We are looking for a highly motivated and committed leader to join our **Supported Living **team as a **Supported Living Coordinator **in Calgary, Alberta.

**Position Summary**:The Supported Living Coordinator is responsible for the development of funding proposals and service plans, the recruitment and on-boarding of subcontractors, and the ongoing monitoring of supports as outlined in service proposals. This is not an entry-level position and a leadership background is expected.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Prepare comprehensive Individualized Service Plans and proposals for submission to Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD).
- Recruit Subcontractors and Outreach Workers appropriate for the needs of the individual being served.
- To ensure on an ongoing basis that the supports identified in the Individual Service Plans are being provided.
- Ensure that policies, processes, and procedures are in place and operating effectively.
- Provide leadership and support to Monitors (If applicable), Subcontractors and Outreach Workers to facilitate effective service delivery.
- Aid in program development and implementation.
- Participate in the community to encourage and support community options.

- A Post-Secondary diploma or degree in the Humanities such as social services, community rehabilitation, disability studies, or a related field is a preferred asset.
- Minimum of two years’ experience providing supports to people with developmental disabilities and/or other health-related issues such as addictions and mental health challenges.
- Managerial or supervisory experience of 1 year or more. We are ideally seeking an established leadership background with experience in supervising groups, developing and delivering performance feedback, managing performance accountability and ethical accountability, and team building. A mix of leadership and administrative work histories would be considered.
- Experience in aiding with program development and implementation.
- Case management experience is preferred.
- A positive attitude and belief that persons with disabilities have the right and responsibility to define and pursue their life choices and have active involvement in their community.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong computer/software skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.

**Hours**:
The standard work week is **40 hours per week **which typically runs from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, however, the incumbent must be willing and able to flex their schedule when there are program and/or service changes, or if there is an emergency.

**Other**:

- Must have a reliable car, a driver’s licence issued in Canada, and third-party liability insurance with a minimum coverage of two million dollars ($2,000,000.00).
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (2 doses or more).

**Salary**: $56,160.00-$61,360.00 per year

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

**Experience**:

- managing large groups: 1 year (preferred)
- direct disability support: 2 years (preferred)
- leadership in disability support environments: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- driver's license issued in Canada (required)
