**Job description**

The Action Group is a non-profit organization that provides a range of services to people with developmental disabilities in Central Alberta including Lacombe, Red Deer and Stettler. Our staff engage individuals and inspire them to become leaders in their own lives while constantly seeking innovative solutions in our quest to provide exceptional service.

The Action Group offers **flexible hours in our Family Service program with shifts available after-school and weekends**. We are currently recruiting for _**part-time**_ **Family Support Aide** positions in Stettler.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience providing support to children with developmental disabilities
- Experience working with complex behaviours and providing personal care
- Awareness of family dynamics and flexibility to meet individualized needs
- Comfortable working one-on-one with families/children
- Time management
- Flexible, creative
- Must be prepared to actively participate in all activities _(i.e. swimming, tobogganing, skating, playing at the park )_

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma
- Valid Driver’s license
- Reliable transportation and valid vehicle insurance
- Clean Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Record Check
- Emergency First Aid Level C (AED) (obtain within 90 days of hire date)
- Ability to work evenings and weekends

**Opportunities**:
Family Support Aide for Extraordinary Child Care
- Rate of pay $15.40/ hour
- Supervision and care of the child allowing the parents/guardians to maintain employment

Family Support Aide for Hourly Respite
- Rate of pay $17.21/ hour
- Supervision and care of the child while the family receives a break

Family Support Aide for Community
- Rate of pay $19.85/hour
- Supporting the child in accessing and participating in community activities

Family Support Aide for Personal Care
- Rate of pay $19.85/hour
- Assisting the family and child with personal/ medical related care in the family’s home. (Meals, diaper changes, bathing, G-tube feeding)

Family Support Aide Behavioural/ Developmental/ Specialized Services
- Rate of pay $19.85/ hour
- Implement strategies from a behavioural/ developmental support plan that has been developed by a specialized services team or Program Coordinator
