Job

**Responsibilities**:

- Load and unload materials and move materials to work areas
- Operate all plant and/or facility equipment
- Help tradespersons in construction activities
- Complete daily safety forms note
- Help heavy equipment operators secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment, and provide assistance in other activities
- Remove rubble and other debris at facility and/or project sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment
- Tend or feed machines or equipment used in facility/plant operations, such as mixers, shaker decks, screens, trammels, compressors, and pumps
- Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants and remove asbestos and other hazardous materials
- Adhere to applicable safety and environmental standards, regulations and company policies
- Set up and operate pipe lasers and levels
- Perform other activities at facility and/or project sites as directed, such as
- Plant maintenance
- Material backlog
- Assisting with equipment repairs
- Cleaning/Organizing workspaces

**Facility & Equipment**
- Ensure compliance with industry, company, and sanitation standards, including making sure physical plant and transportation equipment is free from hazards and meets permitted requirements.
- Participates in training, inspection, investigation and continuous improvement programs.

**Educational and Technical Requirements**
- Technical certification or related trade certifications are an asset
- First Aid and WHMIS certifications an asset

**Experience**
- One to two years of experience as a labourer in a related industry, or a willingness to learn

**Physical Requirements**
- Must be able to lift and control equipment and materials up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to walk around project sites.
- Manual dexterity is required.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Bending, crouching, and kneeling.

**Work Environment**
- Have to ability to be flexible for daily work scheduling (Shift Work, Night Shift)
- Fast-paced environment.
- Work under pressure.
- Working outside - exposure to the elements.

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
