**Position Details**- The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. (or be ABD with a set defense date) in Philosophy, with a specialization in Ethics, broadly construed. We will consider a specialization in Bioethics or Biomedical Ethics an advantage, but will consider all applicants able and willing to teach Biomedical Ethics on a regular basis.

- The Department of Philosophy has an energetic and enthusiastic group of faculty members with research and teaching strengths in Social and Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Law, Logic, Argumentation Theory, Pragmatism, Ethics, and Feminist Philosophy. We have a vibrant student culture, a yearly undergraduate conference, and an active philosophy club that has frequent philosophy discussions and maintains its own undergraduate philosophy room. Additionally, the Department has a growing M.A. program that we are committed to diversifying and expanding in the coming years.
