The Deckhand will be required to working in the British Columbia area. **RESPONSIBILITIES** - Participate in the maneuvers on the tug; - Ensure the safe ship-docking operations; - Maintain accommodations and decks; - Ensure safety of all persons onboard at all time; - Perform connection to shore power (outlet and circuit breaker); - Perform cleaning, painting and other work in relation to tug maintenance; - Assist the chief engineer in certain tasks; - Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System. **REQUIREMENTS** - Bridge watch rating certificate of competency; - Valid medical certificate issued by Transport Canada; - Certificates of proficiency : STCW Basic Safety; - Survival Craft and Rescue Boats; - Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s Certificate-Maritime Commercial (ROC-MC); - Marine Basic First Aid certificate (an asset); - 3 to 5 years of experience as Deckhand; - Demonstrate autonomy. **BENEFITS AND WORKING CONDITIONS** - Full range of fringe benefits; - Free employee assistance program available to the whole family; - Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP); - Social club.
