**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their bakery selections.
- Help in food preparation, including slicing bread, packaging pastries, and assembling special orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while operating the cash register and processing payments.
- Ensure that all bakery products are displayed attractively and stocked appropriately throughout the day.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing accurate change.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in food preparation areas.
- Experience with cashiering or cash handling is a plus.
- A genuine desire to help customers and provide an enjoyable shopping experience.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working in a bakery or food service environment preferred.
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to take on various tasks as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ontario workers health and safety awareness training in 4 steps completed with certificate of completion.
- Food handler certification preferred but not required.
