**Chambers Transportation Group Ltd. (CTG) is seeking a full-time Maintenance Manager based in Vernon, BC.**

The position reports to the General Manager based in Vernon, BC. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the oversight of DCT Chambers Trucking and Langley Freight Lines maintenance program. The equipment under this position’s influence is comprised of wood chip trailers, flat decks, ore trailers and pneumatic dry bulkers. Under direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager are the internal service facilities located in Vernon, BC and Skookumchuk, BC. CTG utilizes numerous outside shop services across a large geographic footprint where the Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to the CTG maintenance program while driving cost effective service and quality.

**Position Summary**:
The position is responsible for the oversight and management of the maintenance of our fleet, which includes the oversight of both internal and external shop services.

**Duties of the position include, but are not limited to, the following**:

- Hire, train and coach internal shop foreman/shop managers
- Ensure fleet meets the service and roadworthiness requirements as dictated by the National Safety Code
- Manage and monitor the preventive maintenance programs in place
- Seek continuous improvement in preventive maintenance systems
- Monitor shop efficiency, productivity and quality expertise
- Communicate with shop service providers to ensure they prepare and execute the weekly and daily maintenance schedule
- Review all work orders with service staff in a timely manner to ensure labour hours and parts have been appropriately charged out and are correct
- Review outside shop service sheets and invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Identify tractor chargebacks to manufacturer or lease operator on the inside shop and outside shop servicing on tractors and trailers
- Enforce Company health and safety standards in Company shops

**Education, Experience and Skills Required**:

- Trained in Supervisory Techniques and Labour Relations
- 5 years of previous experience in a management position relating to commercial vehicle maintenance
- Strong computer skills with experience in preventative maintenance software/programs
- Well organized and have effective written and verbal communication
- Time management with prioritizing multiple tasks at hand
- Red Seal Certification in Commercial Transport (asset)
- Willingness to travel

**Experience**:

- Maintenance Management: 5 years (preferred)
