Commercial Insurance Broker

**About the Role**

We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Broker to join our award-winning BMS Canada team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and expanding a commercial Property & Casualty insurance portfolio by developing strong client relationships, providing advice, and ensuring the delivery of tailored insurance solutions that meet the complex needs of our clients.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Client Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing guidance on risk management and insurance solutions.
- **Policy Placement**: Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with insurers to secure the most competitive and comprehensive coverage for clients.
- **Risk Assessment**: Conduct risk profile assessments for clients, identifying exposures and recommending appropriate coverage options.
- **Portfolio Growth**: Actively seek new business opportunities, identify potential clients, and develop strategies to expand the commercial insurance portfolio.

**Key Capabilities and Attributes for Success**
- **Product Knowledge**: Familiar with commercial P&C insurance products, including CGL, property, E&O, D&O, Cyber, and others
- **Client-Centric Approach**: Abie to build and maintain long-term client relationships through excellent communication.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail in policy placement, documentation, and compliance.
- **Analytical Skills**: Familiar with risk assessment, policy analysis, and market research to provide clients with well-informed insurance solutions.
- **Team Collaboration**: Able to work collaboratively within a team.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial insurance brokerage.
- Understanding of commercial P&C insurance products, underwriting, and claims processes.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field is an asset.
- Proficient in insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- RIBO license; additional provincial licensing is an asset.
