**How you’ll contribute**

The Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the service, repair and shop logistics for Heavy, Light and Aerial equipment at our Operations Support Centre, with a focus on increasing productivity through work distribution. This individual will act as a liaison between our Order Fulfillment Group (OFG) in coordination with the Shop Supervisor to ensure that our fleet priorities and customer orders are being met timely and in keeping with the companies’ standards. In addition, this position will coordinate with the company’s external support vendors to ensure timelines are met with respect to equipment the company has chosen to outsource.
- **Technical Resource**_
- Ensure all technical manuals are available for easy access
- Offer parts recommendations to prevent stock outs and down time
- Ensure adequate quantity of shop chemicals are always on hand
- Organize all in shop annual and 10-year structural inspections on lifts and booms
- **Support**_
- Help bring alignment and consistency to operations to improve productivity.
- Support the repair progress on hard down equipment and ensure status codes are maintained to company standards.
- Keep open communication with OFG/Prodesk and provide frequent updates.
- Follow up with outsource vendors on machine repair status.
- Work with OFG and Prodesk to maximize order fulfilment.
- Provide Daily Priority report all Hubs and management.
- Provide guidance on daily HLA tasks for Mechanics by assigning work based on their skill sets.
- **Administration**_
- Ensure Parts room is supported when parts manager and or admin is not present.
- Inspect shop equipment and sign off shop inspection books.
- Manage and summarize daily productivity.
- Build daily priority lists and send out to all south Ontario hubs
- Assist with dispatching hard down equipment to and from outsource repair vendors
- Support Shop Supervisor daily and when off on vacation.
- **Health & Safety**_
- Adheres to all Company Safety Policy’s
- Be a role model promoting safety to all Staff, Customers, Suppliers and Contractors
- Report any workplace hazards and helps to eliminate them
- Help creating a culture within the division that recognizes the importance of safety
- Maintains knowledge of relevant legislated standards, such as WHMIS, ROT, Transportation of Dangerous Goods etc. that impact on our branches or position
- Understand your role with respect to Health and Safety (refer to the employee guidelines of health and safety)

**What we're looking for**
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Post-Secondary education preferred.
- 2 years working in a Heavy Equipment shop.
- 5 years of mechanic and/or technical experience.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Axiom or similar system.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience with Health and Safety training is an asset.
- WHMIS, Forklift, and Aerial Platform operator certification.
