Leeper Speech and Hearing Clinic (Clinic) provides clinical training in speech language pathology and audiology for students enrolled in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), Clinical Research facilitated by faculty in the Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (HRS) Program, and Clinical Service for the community. It is also the home of the Southwestern Ontario sites of the Ontario Infant Hearing Program and the Preschool Speech and Language Initiative, tykeTALK. **Responsibilities**: The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) role exists primarily to provide speech and language services to school aged children, adolescents, and/or adults who are experiencing challenges in their speech, language, literacy, cognitive-communication, resonance, voice, and/or swallowing. As part of this role, the SLP provides clinical training to graduate students as needed. **Qualifications**: **Education**: - Master’s degree in speech-language pathology - Registration with CASLPO - Continuing education training in any areas of speech, language, literacy, cognitive-communication, resonance, voice, and swallowing is preferred **Experience**: - 3 years experience in the field of SLP Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Knowledge of the needs of the community regarding the speech, language, literacy, cognitive-communication, resonance, voice, and/or swallowing in school-aged children and/or adults. - Ability to supervise and instruct graduate students in speech-language pathology. - Ability to multi-task; clinical work and supervising students. - Ability to work well independently and effectively as a member of a team. - Ability to develop relationships by interacting with people in a professional, respectful, and diplomatic manner. - Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality, with a high degree of tact, diplomacy, honesty, and respect when dealing with internal and external stakeholders. - Excellent written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to complete detailed, clear, concise, and accurate reports. **Background Checks**: While transcripts are not required for the interview, they are mandatory prior to any offer of employment.
