**Our Organization**
Apeetogosan (Métis) Development Inc. (AMDI) was created in 1984 under a federal government contribution agreement with the Native Economic Development Program. AMDI provides financial services and support to Métis citizens seeking to start or expand a for-profit business enterprise in Alberta by working with Métis entrepreneurs to create new opportunities and expand existing businesses. We provide business planning, commercial loans, and access to federal government grant programs.

**Position Summary**

This position provides essential clerical and organizational support by managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, preparing documents, maintaining records, and assisting with administrative tasks. Acting as the primary point of contact for both internal and external inquiries, the Administrative Assistant ensures professional communication and a smooth workflow. Strong attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to multitask are key to success in this role.

**Responsibilities**

**Communication/Client Services**:

- An understanding of the Métis Community and able to work efficiently with its members
- Greet clients in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments.
- Notify clients as needed regarding correspondence, payments and deposits

**Office Administration**:

- Oversee the upkeep of office equipment.
- Handle all incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintain organized paper and electronic filing systems.
- Order and manage office supplies and equipment inventory.
- Assist with data entry, record-keeping, and database management.
- Support staff with administrative tasks and special projects.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

**Loan Management System (LMS) and Programs**:

- Input all client inquiries related to loan information into the system.

**Additional Project/Program Management and Support**:

- Develop and execute special activities and programs.
- Coordinate communication regarding building maintenance and other organizational correspondence.
- Take minutes during meetings, such as board meetings.
- Arrange travel and accommodation for staff, Board of Directors, and others as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Marketing**:

- Develop and execute marketing campaigns.
- Create and manage content for social media, newsletters, and other communications channels.
- Produce marketing materials.
- Track and analyze campaign performance.
- Represent the organization at events and networking opportunities.

Pay: $52,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
