Dispatch Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Dispatch Manager in scheduling and coordinating plumbing service calls.
- Communicate with customers to gather information about their plumbing issues and service needs.
- Enter service requests and job details into the dispatch system accurately and promptly.
- Track the status of ongoing service calls and update customers on the estimated arrival times of technicians.
- Ensure efficient routing of plumbing technicians to optimize their schedules and reduce travel time.
- Assist in maintaining records of service calls, customer interactions, and technician performance.
- Handle emergency service requests and prioritize jobs based on urgency.
- Support the team in resolving customer complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the plumbing team to ensure all tools and materials are available for scheduled jobs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in office administration or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a dispatching, customer service, or administrative role is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using Google workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations calmly.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
Pay: $17.66-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
