**Railcar Repair Technician - Saint Constant, Quebec On-Site**

Procor Limited manages Canada’s largest private tank car lease fleet and operates an extensive repair network across the country. Our fleet has grown to include more than 31,000 special purpose tank and freight cars. Procor also operates 28 repair locations servicing the petroleum, petrochemicals, plastics, chemicals, fertilizers and food markets.

We have an exciting opportunity for a reliable Car Repairer within our Lafarge St. Constant On-Site. This opportunity is perfect for someone with experience looking for a position in a stable organization that offers advancement.

**Job Summary**:
Duties include but are not limited to: Hopper car repair: brake tests, general running repair, bottom gate repairs, welding, jacking of railcars, confined space entry, etc.

The normal schedule for this role will be Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The schedule may change depending on business requirements.

The wage range for a Car Repairer within the St. Constant On-Site Unit is $24.89 to $37.72 per hour and is dependent on experience and qualifications.

**Requirements**:

- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Bilingual
- Welding experience in all positions for SMAW and FCAW
- Knowledge of hopper car anatomy and demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, around machinery, and in environments where there are loud noises and dust
- Perform tasks that require moderate to heavy physical exertion
- Class 3 Driver’s License preferred
- Reliable transportation to get to and from work
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area while performing manual, repetitive tasks
- Work well independently and take initiative
- Complete tasks with a sense of urgency while delivering safe and accurate results
- Detail-oriented, and committed to both safety and quality
- Able to effectively give and receive feedback, and work well in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Adhere to Procor’s health and safety standards (including the Responsible Care policy), and wear the required personal protective equipment for the job in a safe manner
- All applicants are asked to complete and pass our full medical testing upon hire

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Railcar Repair: 1 year (preferred)
- Mechanical repair: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (preferred)

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required
