**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Quality Control Supervisor will use effective management of Quality Control and Quality Processes to ensure product performance, product cost management and customer satisfaction in defined plants and area at Innocon.
**WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH**
Safety:
- Implementation of Innocon Safety Policies, and Compliance with Government Legislation.
- Training and Orientation of all Direct and Departmental Staff.
- Supervision of Implementation of Safety Improvement Plans as they relate to quality staff.
- Understanding, communication and compliance in site specific training requirements for team members visiting customer job sites.
- Smith Driver training compliance for employees operating company vehicles.
Concrete Mix Management and Performance:
- Support the Development, Management and Optimization of Innocon Standard and VAP Mix Designs and ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and specifications.
- Work with plant operations to ensure accurate batching and quality using tools such as batch accuracy reports, Standard Deviation and Coefficient of Variation.
- Support, monitor and communicate RMX KPI performance with key stakeholders as required - investigate variances from Plan and establish corrective actions as required.
- Manage and lead Quality incident Investigation process, troubleshooting and corrective actions within plant and geographic scope.
- Support the preparation and submission of LEED and other sustainability documentation.
- Support and implement strategies for alternate raw material product utilization, blended sand products, Aggneo and other alternative raw material at RMIX plants.
Human Resources:
- Hire, Train and Develop Technical Staff within the direct team for Promotion either within or outside QC.
- Create and Initiate Local Succession Planning.
- Manage Daily Activities of Technical Staff (Quality Technicians) - Monitoring of Raw Materials and Consistency, Strategic Sampling Plans, Plant and Site Based Testing Activities, Product Support, Product Troubleshooting.
- Support development and ensure Implementation of product performance Training for Sales and Operations staff.
- Additional training for internal and external customers as required.
Technical Support:
- Support Quality Audits, Develop Action Plans for Quality Improvement and Monitor Progress of Implementation.
- Lead Investigative Efforts to Identify Root Causes and Implement Corrective Actions
- Provide Expert Customer Support - Field Sales Support and Quality Incident Investigation and Resolution.
- Support Development, Standardization and Implementation Quality Plans and Processes.
- Represent Innocon as Required at Industry/Trade Associations and Technical Committees.
- Promote Innocon VAP Products to the Specifying Community in partnership with the VAP rep.
- Identify VAP opportunities, potential innovation and product improvement for customers and job sites.
- Support development of operation plan, operational practices and review.
Financial Accountability:
- Implement and track quality incidents and cost of non-quality.
- Participate in annual Budget and in monthly review process.
- Jointly with Regional Quality Performance Team development of RMX Mix Optimization process with monthly tracking and reporting.
**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**
- Minimum College Diploma in Engineering Technology with 3-5 years of related experience, CET Designation.
- University Degree in Engineering preferred with 3-5 years related experience, P. Eng. License an asset.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent people management skills; ability to develop effective internal and external relations.
- Disciplined and process-oriented.
- Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn and use new software.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Self-motivated / self-starter.
