Safety & HR Administrator

**Responsibilities**:
- Administer new hire orientation
- Assist in HR-related duties, including, employee relations, exit interviews, recruitment, etc.
- Assist management in disciplinary write-ups and actions
- Provide information and training to supervisors and employees regarding company policies
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, legislation, and government regulations
- Maintain, ensure compliance, and address any employee concerns with the company’s Health & Safety Manual
- Make sure all safety records and certifications are up-to-date
- Chair JHSC meetings and participate in Workplace Inspections. Document and post workplace inspection reports in a timely manner
- Review all field safety reports and document as needed
- Promote the health, safety, and well-being of all employees
- Maintain and document WHMIS records
- Complete Incident and Hazard Reports as needed
- Maintain and manage the Excellence Safety Program and LMS (iSpring)
- Update and review training records/matrix. Advise management when retraining is required
- Support and assist in the implementation and maintenance of Mental Health initiatives and training
- Set up, train, and answer questions regarding company benefits
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and presentation skills
- Able to work efficiently as part of a team
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- JHSC Certification is an asset
- First-Aid Certificate is an asset
**Salary**: $35,000.00-$45,000.00 per year

**Education**:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Health & Safety: 2 years (preferred)
- HR: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Class G Licence (preferred)
