**Company Overview**
Hospice Southeast New Brunswick (Hospice SENB) is a registered charity dedicated to promoting awareness of life-limiting illnesses and end-of-life issues. Established in 2004, we provide compassionate care and support to individuals and their families during their end-of-life journey, including community programs and a residential hospice.
**Summary**
The Fund Development Officer is responsible for implementing and supporting our fundraising strategy, donor stewardship, special events, grant writing, and the administration of fundraising programs such as the Gold Rush 50/50. Reporting to the CEO, this position plays a vital role in sustaining and growing the revenue needed to support Hospice programs and services.
This role requires a detail-oriented, bilingual professional with excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of fundraising principles, and experience working in a nonprofit or healthcare setting.
**Responsibilities**
- Plan and execute fundraising events including our annual Gala, Golf Tournament, Walk for Hospice, and other community engagement initiatives.
- Lead the Gold Rush 50/50 program, ensuring compliance, promotion, and revenue growth.
- Support research, writing, and reporting on grants to secure private, corporate, and government funding.
- Steward donors and prospects, ensuring a meaningful donor experience and building lasting relationships.
- Lead direct mail, monthly giving, donor appeals.
- Develop fundraising materials (appeals, newsletters, event promotions).
- Manage donor data through our CRM system to maintain accuracy, generate reports, and support donor segmentation and analysis.
**Requirements**:
- Min 2-3 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or a similar nonprofit role preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Proven success in event planning, grant writing, and donor stewardship
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in database management systems such as Donor Perfect.
- Ability to conduct thorough research on potential funding sources and market trends.
Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
