Bouygues Energies & Services, a leading provider of facility management services across Canada, is seeking a permanent, full-time Painter to work at the RCMP Divisional Headquarters located in North Surrey, BC. The facility is a state-of-the-art, 35-acre multi-building complex that has won several awards. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your primary duty will be to perform skilled work in the maintenance, repair and life cycle of building components and related installations.

The hours of work will be Tuesday-Saturday from 3:30pm to midnight. Please note that the hours of work may change in the Summer months when outdoor projects are to be completed.

Please note that individuals working at this location must obtain a high-level government Security Clearance that may take several months to process. For this, you must have resided in Canada for at least five years and have no criminal record.

**Our ideal Qualifications**:

- BC Trade Certification in a relevant trade;
- Work experience in facility or building maintenance within a large public facility;
- Working knowledge of materials, systems, methods and equipment used in facility maintenance;
- As the only Painter, the ability to work independently as part of a large, multi-disciplinary team of Maintenance Technicians.

**Your other specific Job Duties**:

- Assist in the implementation of the preventative maintenance program;
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, design specifications and sketches to determine building finish specifications;
- Calculate material and labour hours for work and projects;
- Develop painting and finishing repair plans;
- Repair and clean surfaces;
- Remove old wallpaper and paint;
- Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware;
- Maintain all painted, graphic walls and drywall within the facility;
- Maintain the surface of exterior doors, fencing, gates, concrete coatings and exterior line and sign painting;
- Maintain, repair, paint and renovate building fabric elements, including exterior cladding;
- Operate and maintain painting, drywall, siding and equipment.
