We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Carbon Credit Program Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing a comprehensive carbon strategy with a core focus to open new revenue avenues and sourcing project leads through strategic partnerships and business development activities. Your focus will be on developing a market-based, data-driven strategy for monetizing access to forest carbon markets for Flash Forest and establishing and nurturing new relationships with key stakeholders in the forest carbon domain to support Flash Forest's growth and expansion. **_Your Contribution_** Joining Flash Forest as Carbon Credit Program Manager will provide you with an opportunity to make a significant impact to the Company, promoting international business developments, driving revenue growth, and shaping the future of the company. The main contribution of this role to the overall Company is coordinating, implementing and executing carbon credit projects, while working closely with project teams to ensure timely delivery of carbon credit project goals. **_Role & Responsibility_** - Develop and manage a market-based, data-driven Carbon Credit Program, ensuring alignment with Flash Forest's overall business strategy and goals. - Conduct market research and analysis to determine the right development process, markets, registries and identify potential developers, landowners, project opportunities and market trends. - Collaborate with internal teams and external specialists (and developers) to assess the feasibility and viability of carbon credit projects, considering factors such as project scope, costs, and potential carbon credits generated. - Manage relationships with carbon credit standards and certification bodies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Monitor and track carbon credit inventory, including the issuance, retirement, and verification of carbon credits. - Work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. - Collaborate with finance and legal teams to establish pricing strategies and contract terms for carbon credit transactions. - Develop marketing and communication materials to promote Flash Forest's carbon credit program to potential buyers and partners. - Support business development efforts by providing expertise and insights on carbon credit opportunities and strategies. - Stay updated on industry developments, emerging trends, and regulatory changes related to carbon credits. - Provide training and education to internal teams on carbon credit concepts, processes, and best practices. - Collaborate with external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry organizations, to build relationships and identify collaborative opportunities in the carbon credit space. **_Competencies & Qualifications_** - Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or another related field required. - Current, relevant knowledge of carbon credit standards, such as the Gold Standard and Climate Action Reserve is required. - Previous experience in the carbon credit industry, with a strong understanding of carbon credit standards, methodologies, and market dynamics with a focus on North American markets. - Knowledge of relevant afforestation and/or reforestation North American (and international) carbon credit programs - PMP or Project Management designations an asset. - Experience in working with various government agencies, both in Canada, USA and internationally. - Familiarity with carbon credit project development and management processes, including project feasibility assessment, monitoring, and verification. - Successful registration and trade of forestry carbon credits. - Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and identify carbon credit opportunities. - Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery. - Strong understanding of sustainability and environmental principles, with a passion for addressing climate change through carbon credit initiatives. - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to generate insights and recommendations based on carbon credit performance. **_What We Value_** **_IMPACT_** - We started Flash Forest with the goal of offsetting enough carbon emissions to have a significant and measurable impact on climate change within the next decade. **_QUALITY_** - We work closely with plant scientists and fo
