Ontario Health is currently seeking an experienced Team Lead, Business Systems to initiate, execute and support the development of new and revised business requirements and business processes for the implementation of technology solutions to support the Cancer Programs, Clinical Institutes & Quality Programs (CIQP) that the Product Management & Delivery (Customer Value & Products) group supports.

Reporting to Manager, Product Management and Delivery, Team Lead, Business Systems will engage program sponsors, Digital Excellence in Health (DxH) partners and external stakeholders; such as the Ministry of Health, hospitals and clinical users across the province, product squad etc., to ensure their interests are considered in the design and development of business requirements and information technology solutions. In addition to expert communication skills, this role is technical and requires both a strong IT and analytical acumen.

Here is what you will be doing:
- Works with the Manager to help prioritize key activities, assign accountabilities, and develop deliverables defined in the Operating Plan- Supervises team members in a formal capacity by providing leadership and guidance for the completion of deliverables- Ensures successful training of assigned resources; actively mentors, coaches development of new skills and completes PDP reviews for team members- Ensures that established center of excellence (COE) Business Systems and policies are implemented, maintained and reported to management team- Leads a culture of continuous improvement by creatively increasing awareness of COE policies and objectives among all employees- Identifies improvement opportunities and escalates key issues/risks to the Manager; proposes and executes solutions, provides regular updates and reports on deliverables- Work with business (program) and IT partners to implement change and drive improvements- Perform in an Agile/Waterfall hybrid environment; document user stories, use cases and business requirements- Facilitate user sessions and meetings with clear agendas; minutes and follow up- Prepare feasibility studies; develop cost benefit analysis, including alternatives and recommendations- Perform gap analysis; build process flows of current and future state to support resulting solutions- Meet project deadlines and schedules; help drive momentum through effective elicitation of requirements and adaptive strategies to obtain stakeholder input- Lead and provide guidance to other BAs supporting initiatives with multiple requirement streams- Train and support business and clinical staff (internal and external) on the use and integration of technology with business processes- Prepare/maintain system documentation, user guides, process maps, operations documents and training manuals- Provide business and technical content in the assembly of test plans across multiple environments.- Facilitate and support business and clinical participation in the execution of test plans- Develop stakeholder engagement plans, reports, templates, and tools to support business operations- Support quality initiatives and reviews; suggest areas for improvement in internal processes, as well as possible solutions- Provide productional / operational support for issue resolution and service request management; when needed, perform root cause analysis; identify improvements, simplify processes and document them- Ability to prioritize and manage on-going and multiple requests and system requirements to meet OH goals- Bring expertise to other teams and share knowledge while on assignment

Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience- 5 - 7 years of experience in a similar role supporting information technology projects- 10+ years of Business Analyst experience preferred- 10+ years’ experience collecting and documenting requirements for a wide range of technical solutions, demonstrating adept technical acumen preferred

Knowledge and Skills- Expert knowledge and experience working with advanced business analysis methodologies, best practices and tools- Knowledge of emerging IT trends and new directions in healthcare; experience in related business process re-engineering and the development of business strategies- Knowledge of privacy and security legislation; experience on assignments involving PHIPA and industry best practice in the Ontario healthcare sector- Expert analytical skills; conceptual thinker with advanced problem solving and decision-making skills, highly motivated and resourceful to perform with limited supervision- Demonstrated ability to elicit and interpret business requirements, posing specific questions through interview and workshop processes- Adept verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal and organizational skills- Demonstrated
