The Merchandise Planner is responsible for pre-season and in-season forecasting, open-to-buy management, reporting and analysis, inventory management, and performance reporting for defined classifications. This role reports to the Senior Director, Planning & Allocations and will partner closely with Merchandising, Product, Sourcing & Logistics, Finance and Brand Marketing. The Merchandise Planner will help drive the team’s success by providing insight and recommendations to optimize inventory & category performance across e-commerce and retail to achieve financial and consumer strategies.

**The Opportunity**:

- Develop sales projections, build merchandise plan by class and subclass & inventory flow for defined categories in support of Knix’s merchandising, marketing, and financial objectives
- Own Inventory Management, including OTB, ladder plans, pre-season and in-season forecasting.
- Lead merchandise planning for e-commerce & retail channels by taking a nuanced approach to each channel
- Analyze current trends and historical data to identify risks and opportunities and recommend strategies to achieve category targets
- Co-manage seasonal hind-sighting with merchandising to inform the future direction
- Partner cross-functionally to drive effective in-season decisions to drive sales, margin, and optimize inventory
- Manage reporting and monitoring trends to inform decision-making for key stakeholders proactively
- Optimize the way tools work based on new systems or integrations and create best practices that are scalableLook beyond the everyday business to find opportunities to maximize sales.

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated experience managing an OTB, inventory turn, margin and SKU efficiency
- Minimum 3 years of merchandise planning experience including experience in an OMNI environment.
- A combination of experience in merchandise financial planning and demand planning
- Experience in analyzing sales and profitability to ensure targets are met or exceeded while also identifying opportunities for the business
- Analytical skills to support problem-solving and decision-making
- Partnership mentality and the ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders & cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, merchandising, or related field preferred
- Advanced Excel skills are required; experience with planning software is an asset
