- Description:
Under direct supervision of the Food Services Supervisor, the Food Service Aide is primarily responsible for duties related to (but not limited to) the serving of all menu items to our residents, assigned inventory maintenance and ensuring a sanitary environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Performs meal service as required relating to beverage and meal service, platting of food, clearing and cleaning of dining rooms etc.
- Assist residents with menu selection as required and serves food and beverages to residents in designated areas
- Responsible for the setting, cleaning and sanitizing of resident dining and service area
- Collects and strip trays for dish washing
- Conveys resident's complaints to Dietary Supervisor
- Sanitation of food delivery tools and equipment ( e.g. steam well etc.) with a clear focus on resident satisfaction is required
- Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
- Ensures security of company assets

**Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of various food prep methods, proper knife handling, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage preferred
- Must be able to obtain required food safety certification
- Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
- Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
