**HANDYMEN/WOMEN FOR HAVEN TOWERS HIRING NOW**

Permanent positions for the construction site of the Haven Towers high-rise building located in 150 Marketplace Avenue, Nepean, ON.

**Scope of work**
- a variety of tasks, including painting,trimming, drywall repairs, painting
- all small repairs inside the units and corridors of the construction site and exterior grounds
- operate equipment as vacuum cleaners, chainsaws, trimmers, chippers, drills, nailers
- cooperate with the project managers and follow set schedules with strict delivery deadlines
- assist with maintenance requests once construction is finished
- clean facilities by sweeping, dusting, perform maintenance and light repairs
- paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.),undertake light installation or carpeting (e.g. assemble cabinets)
- repair equipment or appliances
- assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs
- undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. shoveling snow)

**Requirements and skills**
- proven experience as handyman
- experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
- basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems
- basic math skills
- good communication ability
- well-organized and apt in problem-solving
- attention to detail
- high school diploma or equivalent

**Hours of operation**

M-F from 7 am - 4 pm

**Pay Rate**

$27-$30 per hour with the possibility of remaining after completion of the building at our maintenance department as handyman/woman

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $27.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
