**Job Overview**: RAM Industries Inc. is an established manufacturing company seeking expertise to fill the role of Quality Assurance Technician**. **The ideal incumbent brings a wide range of support to production team. This position is located at our head office and Manufacturing unit in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. The Quality Assurance Technician plays an important role in providing support to the RAM Quality System, Customer Quality, requirements, and ISO system maintenance. The position is ideally suited for an individual capable of inspecting parts and products, but also capable of documenting and discussing such results with the person(s) involved. The individual must be an excellent communicator (English written and oral skills) with an understanding this role is not just about enforcement and protocol, but more about working within the team to source quality issues, investigate the cause and implement corrective action, and continuously promote and mentor a "quality attitude" throughout the operation. **Education/Experience**: **Duties**: - Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced and received. - Document quality procedures per Quality System requirements and discuss inspection results with those responsible for products. - Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications, and work with purchasing, suppliers, or management to determine disposition. - Recommend improvements to manufacturing that improve quality; and Track test data and implement changes for improvements. - Coordinate and perform calibration of measuring equipment based on procedures and deadlines required by the RAM Quality System. - Recommend improvements to manufacturing and design that improve quality; and Complete NCR (Non-Conformance Reports, CAR (Corrective Action Reports), RGA (Returned Goods Authorization) and complete the full circle of root cause analysis as needed. - By reducing the frequency of in-process and finished good quality issues, the Quality Assurance is expected to make a measurable contribution to increased plant capacity, reduced labour and rework cost, reduced material usage, reduced warranty claim expense, and overall company competitiveness. - The Quality Assurance activities must always support lean initiatives and productivity improvements as initiated by or recommended to Management.
