**What you can expect when joining the team**
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be a key leader within the finance team. You will work closely with the company's financial leadership to support our growth mission and ensure the quality and consistency of financial information in a multi-entity environment. **Your daily life**
In your day to day, you will be led to:
- Managing financial operations for the Rest of Canada (ROC) region, ensuring compliance with local regulations and alignment with national policies.
- Analyzing financial performance for ROC locations and delivering insights and recommendations to the Director of Finance.
- Leading regional financial projects, including streamlining financial processes and enhancing readiness for broader initiatives.
- Supporting the budgeting process by gathering and providing regional data and assumptions.
- Acting as a liaison between the head office and ROC operations, ensuring seamless communication and execution of financial strategies.
- Supervising and mentoring a team of Accounting Technicians, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Improving internal controls across the region and ensuring their relevance in a fast-growth environment.
- Collaborating with the Director of Finance to integrate financial processes and practices for newly acquired companies.
- Preparing or reviewing compliance reports for governmental and regulatory submissions, including overseeing regional tax compliance processes such as R&D tax credit claims, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conducting ad hoc analyses based on operational needs.
**Your profile**
Are you a finance professional recognized for your attention to detail and passion for continuous process improvement? Are you seeking a role that matches your ambition and skills? - A bachelor’s degree in accounting and a recognized professional designation (CPA is required).
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience (including at least 2 years in a similar role).
- Proven experience managing an accounting team.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and proven experience managing multiple simultaneous projects.
- Competence in financial analysis to assess performance, identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is considered an asset.
- A proactive attitude and high adaptability in a constantly evolving environment.
