Company Introduction: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 36 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 13 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

The Role: The Food Safety & Quality Assurance Analyst leads the development and implementation of a food safety management system and ensures compliance with regulatory and customer requirements at an assigned facility. This role is also accountable for the implementation of a broad range of food safety protocols and procedures at the store level.
- Major Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive food safety programs, policies and procedures, including prerequisite programs and HACCP plans and other relevant food safety management system elements.
- Conduct routine inspections, testing and audits to assess adherence to food safety and quality standards, and identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop, standardize, and maintain QA procedures, testing methods, lab equipment calibration, and documentation such as Certificates of Analysis (COA)
- Provide trainings to employees on GMP, sanitation procedures, and other quality and food safety best practices
- Respond to food safety incidents, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Responsible for coordinating all supplier assurance and supplier approval processes including documentation review and on-site audits as needed.
- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring effective CAPA plans are in place and successfully executed
- Serve as the primary point of contact for food safety, regulatory compliance, and quality matters with local public health inspectors, CFIA, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor 3rd party food safety audits and ensure that they are completed in accordance with T&T food safety audit policies. Ensure that all parts of the business meet established standards.
- Initiate investigation and follow-up actions on customer complaints including identifying trends and driving resolution for continuous improvement.
- Support store-level management and employees in implementing and training on food safety, pest control, and sanitation programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices, and emphasizing their impact on the business.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in food safety and quality assurance within food manufacturing, preferably in a food processing environment.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and experience with HACCP implementation (certification preferred)
- Must have a good understanding of microbiology and sanitation principles.
- Familiarity with SQF or other GFSI standards.
- Experience with auditing is an asset.
- Sound knowledge of both Federal and Provincial food regulatory requirements related to food production and labelling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills in English.
- Able to communcatoe in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is an asset.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Flexibility to travel frequently both domestically and internationally.
- Valid driver's license and travel documents required.

**Shift**
- 5 day work week (Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 6:00pm and Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm)
