**The opportunity**:
KPMG's Technology Consulting practice is seeking an Enterprise Architect to join the IT Strategy and Architecture practice in Toronto. At KPMG, our IT Strategy and Architecture practice helps our clients ensure that implemented IT solutions supports their organization's business goals and objectives. We work with our clients at the highest strategic level to design an organization's goals, vision, objectives, target operating models, and the IT ecosystem that will support and achieve those objectives.

Our ideal fit is someone who has a background in Enterprise or Solution Architecture, with a focus on Information, Technical, Security and/or Application Architectures. We are looking for someone who can combine innovation and design and engage proactively with our customers on a long-term basis across their entire enterprise systems architecture to discover opportunities and drive an on-going stream of deals and opportunity.

**What you will do
- Develop generalized reference models for specific industry sectors
- Establish Enterprise Architecture practices, capabilities, standards, and methods
- Develop Business Transformation Plans, IT Strategic Plans, Information Management Strategies, and Digital Strategies based on Enterprise Architectures, for enterprises and/or specific program areas or business functions
- Develop EA based business transformation portfolio plans and governance mechanisms
- Provide enterprise architectures to support program evaluations and performance reviews of business and IT functions
- Complete due diligence of Enterprise Architectures on strategic and private equity acquisitions.

**What you bring to the role
- 5 to 7+ years of professional work experience as an architect in one or more industries,
- Ability to understand, analyze and synthesize large amounts of information about the policies and operations of high-complexity organizations
- Excellent written and oral business communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- University degree, preferably in computer science, engineering, business or a similar discipline.
- Exerience with data modeling, definition writing, process modelling (especially BPMN), Unified Modeling Language, Archimate.
- Skills and expertise in one or more architectural modeling software tools, especially Sparx Enterprise Architect or ARIS modeling software.
- Experience with solution design and implementation skills and experience, especially in an Agile environment.
- Relational and No SQL database management planning, design, and implementation skills and experience
- Core IT skills including IT processes management, governance, systems development, infrastructure management, systems administration.
- Core advisory skills including business process analysis, financial analysis, performance assessment, project management and risk assessment
- Familiarity with industries including financial services, healthcare, utilities, public sector
- The ability to write and structure the story-line of presentations and documents.
- Facilitation of workshops and requirements elicitation
- Leadership and management experience, including team leadership, delegation & supervision, staff performance management, reviewing quality of deliverables
- Project/engagement management (including client relations, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and status reporting).
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office software
- Relevant designations are an asset, including but not limited to, TOGAF, SAFe or other Agile certifications, EBA, CBAP, PMP, CISA, CDMP, ITIL, CMC, CISSP, SEI certifications, CoBIT certifications
- MBA or other relevant Master's degree is desirable
