Ross Place is an all-inclusive senior’s community in the heart of historic Victoria, BC. Our vibrant residence has been voted Best in the City for 4 years and offers 142 independent living suites and 40 Island Health subsidized assisted living suites. Ross Place is proudly owned and operated by VRS Communities Society, a local non-profit organization with a 50-year reputation of providing honest, inclusive services and housing.
Ross Place is seeking a Resident Services Manager who is able to work in a fast-paced team environment. The Resident Services Manager will hire, train, schedule, and co-ordinate the responsibilities of the front desk reception and greeter teams.
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Resident Services Manager is also responsible for the day-to-day operation of several key areas:
- Maintain strong relationships with the Residents that reflect admirable customer service;
- Welcome new residents, coordinate move in plans, arrange orientation to building;
- Engage with Residents and their families to meet their needs through various administrative processes;
- Maintain confidentiality of residents’ personal information;
- Complete suite inspections and ensure guest suites are welcoming;
- Coordinate move out process with Residents and/or family;
- Record and distribute minutes for meetings;
- Maintains and orders office supplies;
- Assist Team Members in the preparation of confidential correspondence and other reports;
- Decision-making authority and/or brings to the attention of the General Manager;
- Perform other duties as assigned in a timely and efficient matter.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- At least five years of clerical and/or office experience.
- Minimum of one year in a manager or supervisor role.
- Must be willing to work hours necessary to ensure the effective operations of the facility
- Knowledge and proficiency of MS Office (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
- Experience using Quadrant Financial and/or Dayforce is an asset.
- Ability to type 50+ words per minute.
- Must be able to speak English fluently and communicate effectively both verbally and in the composition of written materials.
- Critical thinker and problem solver, detailed and organized, and able to manage time, workload and conflicting priorities effectively and efficiently
- Must pass a Criminal Record Check for working with Vulnerable Adults.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination is required upon hire.
- Tuberculin skin test completed within probationary period.
**SCHEDULE**:
- Tuesday-Saturday. Full time 37.5 hrs/week
**Salary**: $35,000.00-$53,442.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
- Morning shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Victoria, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
