**Overview**
Thé Moon is a new brand that started in Calgary with various options from milk tea, fruit tea, and slushes to coffee. Moreover, Thé Moon is a new urban lifestyle to celebrate everyday happiness, from your morning coffee to your evening cravings.
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Tea Specialist/Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring that each guest has an enjoyable experience, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bubble tea café.
**Responsibilities**
- Ability to create a genuine moment of connection with our customers - making a difference in their day by discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication
- Willingness to learn - Learning from handcrafted drinks, and recipes to back kitchen preparation for everyday freshness, also including recipe changes such as temperature, ratios, or substituted ingredients.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts.
- Educate customers about menu items and make recommendations based on their preferences.
**Skills**
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in transactions.
- Experience in food handling practices and knowledge of health regulations.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash management and order processing.
- Proficiency in using POS systems for efficient order taking and payment processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
- Previous experience in food preparation or cashiering is a plus but not required.
