**Job Summary**:This role provides leadership and management of all human resources related processes, ensuring these processes are aligned with the strategic direction and annual goals of the organization for the duration of covering a Maternity Leave.
**Required Qualifications**:
- College degree in Human Resources Management or similar field, or equivalent Human Resources experience; Human Resources designation preferred
- Minimum 5 years Human Resources Generalist experience in manufacturing industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong communicator in the English language, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of best practices
- Knowledge of and administration of benefits program for all full-time employees
- Ability to manage and run H.R. Department on a day-to-day basis in a fast paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Strong knowledge of workplace legislation, employment law and compliance
- Ability to interact with the Management Team in a professional manner to continually enhance the Company's performance
- Desire to learn the business, understand the production process by walking the floor and participatee in production meetings
- Ability to work independently without supervision and with minimum direction
- Strong understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Acts and regulations
- Strong understanding of the Employment Standards Act
- Understanding of the Customer/Supplier relationship

- Ability to interact with the Mgmt Team in a professional manner to continually enhance the Company's performance
- Learn the business, understand the production process by walking the floor & participating in production meetings
- A complete hands-on approach is required to assist the plant in developing into a successful and profitable division of Martinrea, a multi-billion dollar company
- Ability to work independently without supervision and with minimum direction
- Ability to work in a team environment and be both a team player and team leader
- Ability to manage and direct subordinates on the day-to-day tasks in a fast paced environment
- Ability to mentor and guide subordinates to achieve overall departmental goals and objectives
- Respect and understanding of the Customer/Supplier relationship
- Adopt a common sense approach to identifying and addressing problems and control weaknesses
- Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee or their co-workers placed in an unsafe condition
**Responsibilities**:
- Must work in accordance with Health Safety & Environmental regulations, Martinrea Rollstar rules, policies and procedures
- Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing as required by Martinrea Rollstar
- Responsible for managing Human Resources staff, Health and Safety & Environmental, and Reception to ensure the appropriate training, coaching and discipline is given to ensure high performance of tasks to meet scheduled requirements
- Responsible for the design, implementation, coordination and administration of policies and procedures related to all phases of Human Resources and Environmental activities
- Maintain HRIS; enter new hires, process pay changes, etc.
- Create and provide Human Resources reports to Corporate as required
- Oversee Human Resources related functions:
- Selection and recruitment of all personnel for assigned division
- Manage and track employee headcount/manning reports
- Champion all in-house Human Resources related programs and associated activities (i.e., Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Communications Committee, Holiday party, Summer picnic)
- Oversee all leaves related to WSIB, disability, medical leave, Parental and all other leaves covered under ESA
- Oversee the return to work program to reduce potential high WSIB cost (i.e., provide assistance to the HSEC Coordinator when require
