**_Join Nasittuq for a unique and rewarding experience_** Nasittuq provides Operation & Maintenance services for the North Warning System (NWS). The NWS is a joint Canada and United States early-warning radar system with 47 sites located in Northern Canada; a Control Centre and Support Centre located in North Bay, ON and a Contract Management Office located in Ottawa, ON.**

**SCOPE**:

- The Warehouse Logistician is responsible to coordinates the repair of DND and Nasittuq assets. Please note: This is a full time, in person, Unionized role located at our Support Centre in North Bay, ON.**RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Perform inventory control (issue, receive, distribute, and dispose of inventory)
- Handle, package, and label materials for shipment
- Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping using online tools
- Operate material handling equipment and perform manual labour duties, maintaining good housekeeping practices
- Managing shelf life
- Managing work order reservation
- Shipping dangerous goods
- Loading and unloading of goods from trucks/aircraft
- Unpacking, coding and routing goods to appropriate storage areas
- Maintaining general tidiness and warehouse organization
- Assist in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reducing cost of operation
- Performs other duties as assigned and/or are transient in nature

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience working in a high-volume inventory control, shipping/receiving, computerized warehouse or distribution facility
- Experience handling Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and associated control processes
- Experience/knowledge of custom control points and processes would be an asset

**CERTIFICATE(S) / LICENSE(S)**:

- Transportation of Dangerous Goods by air/roads/sea.

**COMPETENCIES / SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:

- Proficient with** **MS Word and Excel and previous knowledge/use of databases (Maximo)
- Customer service training/skills
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), as required.
- Ability to work under physically demanding, often adverse weather conditions in remote Arctic locations.
- Demonstrated positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and customer service ability
- Team orientated, strong work ethic, reliable
