We are a **growing** Design, Engineering & Manufacturing company based in South Surrey with clients across North America. Our 40-person team manufactures everything from one-off custom products for the entertainment industry; to high volume products for a specific customer, to in-house products and systems through a variety of distribution channels to multiple markets and customer segments.

The Procurement Coordinator is a key part of the Manufacturing team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement and shipment of materials, supplies, and services needed to support the company's thermoforming and modular construction production processes and business operations. In addition, this role will source and quote in bound and outbound freight, supported by the Shipping & Receiving team.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Manage and execute the procurement of raw materials, components, and equipment required for production and office operations, ensuring compliance with company quality and cost standards.
- Create and manage purchase orders for materials; track and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
- Obtain competitive freight quotes and coordinate the booking of trucks for the timely shipment of goods & materials to & from the manufacturing facility, ensuring cost-effective and efficient delivery.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate prices and terms, and monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and product quality.
- Research and source new suppliers, materials, and products to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to forecast material requirements and ensure all necessary resources are procured to meet production schedules.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including supplier contracts, purchase orders, and delivery schedules, in the company’s data management systems.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams to maintain optimal stock of materials without overstocking.
- Address any procurement issues or delays and resolve them with suppliers in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure proper documentation and processing of invoices and payments for purchased goods.
- Assist in cost analysis and budgeting for procurement activities, providing insights to management on potential savings opportunities.
- Support the movement of raw material and finished product when shipping & receiving personnel are unavailable.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, and supplier management in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, cost control, and contract negotiation
- Good working knowledge of inventory management principles, including lead times, reorder points, and stock optimization
- Familiarity with MRP or ERP software for procurement and inventory management
- Experienced in weekly or monthly cycle counting and yearly inventory processes an assets
- Strong numerical and analytical skills for cost analysis and forecasting
- A current forklift ticket is considered a strong asset
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for negotiating with suppliers and collaborating with internal teams
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic production environment
- Experience with budgeting and cost-saving initiatives is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

- Manufacturing: 2 years (required)
- Logistics: 2 years (preferred)
