**About us**:
Acme Fire & Safety Company Ltd. has been providing commercial customers with life, protection and safety products and services since 1972. Our Head Office is seeking an Accounting Assistant with good communication skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The position is located at 7015 Curragh Ave, Burnaby, BC.

**About You**:
You are known to be a friendly, approachable person who enjoys engaging with and helping others. You take ownership of your work and pride yourself on a job well done. Your experience has given you the ability to manage your time efficiently and deal with multiple deadlines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Processes billing within required timelines;
- Process all contract billing;
- Resolves discrepancies in billing and invoices;
- Follows procedures and brings exceptions to the attention of the Team Lead;
- Maintains billing information for each customer;
- Assists in testing and implementations new billing processes;
- Communicate with different branches and divisions to ensure accuracy of billing;
- Other ad-hoc tasks related to accounting/ finance or operations, as required

**Qualifications**:

- Education: High school education is required; courses in accounting or bookkeeping are an asset.
- Experience: minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Billing Clerk
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, practices and methods.
- High degree of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
