**Job Overview**

Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Communication Services, the **Communications and Marketing Specialist **will implement and evaluate effective internal communication and marketing plans targeted at Qualico employees across Western Canada and US operations.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Creating and implementing effective internal communication and marketing plans to support business goals and align with company priorities.
- Developing and publishing content on Qualico’s intranet and internal newsletter.
- Project managing multiple internal campaigns, editorial calendars, and day-to-day tasks.
- Measuring and tracking engagement success of internal communication programs to make recommendations ensuring maximum impact.
- Coordinating and providing recommendations on video projects.
- Deadline driven: you focus on accomplishing work on time, continually moving projects and tasks forward.
- A creative problem solver: you can turn a negative into a positive that considers business and target audience impacts.
- A team player: you contribute as a team member and share equally in the exchange of ideas, concepts, and process outcomes.
- Technically savvy: you possess skills related to layout, design, creative, and video production.

**Essential Requirements**
- Post-secondary education in communications, marketing, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of communications or marketing related experience.
- Professional experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop) or similar software.
- Previous experience coordinating, capturing and editing video.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).

**Work Conditions**

You primarily work in a hybrid work setting during regular business hours. Occasional travel to off-site meetings and overtime may be required during peak periods.
