Location: Markham, Ontario

Versatile, self-driven individual for the role of Technical Systems Analyst, to document business processes from a technology point of view in an agile environment. The Technical Systems Analyst should be comfortable engaging with business representatives to review and document end to end processes and integrations data mapping. This individual is expected to be passionate about their craft, comfortable in making decisions without direct supervision and to possess solid written and verbal communication skills.

**Essential Duties**
- Provides analysis of problems and recommends solutions
- Participates in client interactions, possibly with more senior team members, to develop system solutions to business problems
- Mentoring and pairing with architecture and analyst team members

**Experience, Education, Certifications**
- At least 5 years of professional technical business process experience
- Bachelors or masters in any IT discipline or equivalent preferred
- Experience contributing to and documenting continuous delivery environments
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies

**Competencies**
- IT Strategy development
- Work on API/Integration specs. Identifies exciting opportunities for adopting new security technologies to solve existing needs and future challenges.
- Explore and recommend solutions to the team that help our systems function in a scalable and cost-effective manner
- Be an advocate of the technology: good design and best practices.
- Implement end-to-end solutions from database to frontend with concise, efficient, testable processes.
- End to end ownership from inception to deployment
- Support organizational strategies and provides organizational improvement
- Identifies appropriate risks and develop mitigation plan
- Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a small, fast-paced, hands-on and startup-like environment
- Interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate technical discussions within the engineering team as well as across all levels of the business
- A team player with a thirst for knowledge, growth and achievement good communication skill
- participate in meetings, mentor junior analysts
- Able to create deliverables for each phase of the development cycle
- Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and remain flexible to changing requirements
- Able to provide reasonable task estimates including effort and cost; able to adjust estimates as appropriate and necessary
- SME, thought leader (supports organization’s processes and procedures and can implement a new product or major modification/improvement independently from start to finish)
- Research market to identify any upcoming technologies to implement within the company

**Technical Skills**
- Experience with Integration processes using P2P/SOA/API methods
- Experience with Microservice/End Point design and creation
- Experience with Retail systems including point-of-sales, warehousing / distribution, and merchandising systems
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ie: NAV 2009/2016, etc.)
- Experience with industry development standards and their implementation
- Experience with mobile / wireless technologies in a retail environment
