Through its clinical policy mandate, PHSA is responsible for overseeing core specialized health services including Health Improvement Networks (HIN’s) including Emergency Care BC, Critical Care BC, Perinatal Services BC, Child Health BC, Stroke Services BC, Pain Care BC, Cystic Fibrosis Care BC, and Trauma Services BC. In this inaugural position, the Chief, Health Improvement Networks is responsible for establishing, developing, and sustaining effective service delivery model(s) for the HIN’s and related contracted services. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Provincial Clinical Policy, Planning, & Partnerships (EVP), the Chief, Health Improvement Networks is a senior member of the PHSA leadership team and accountable for providing provincial leadership in the coordination, planning, evaluation, improvement, and reporting of health improvement networks. Paramount to their success will be the ability to do this work in partnership with other Health Authorities, the BC Ministry of Health, Doctors of BC, and others.

With multiple years of experience in a senior leadership and influencing role in a large and complex health system, the Chief, Health Improvement Networks brings a foundational background in a clinical practice and/or clinical operations, and their experience is augmented the equivalent of a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
