Position Overview

- Pre-School - for children aged 0-6 years
- Children and Youth - for children aged 5 to 18 years
- Youth Drop-in Programming

Available positions include:

- Program Leader/Instructor- Assistant Programs
- RCC- Specialized Instructor

Community programs in the above areas are provided at various times and locations throughout Burlington. Program staff report to the Recreation Programmer/ Recreation Coordinator and typically work 1 to 3 shifts per week per program. Hours of work will vary with position title and will vary dependent on program need. These positions will work up to 10 months between September and June.

Responsibilities

Program Staff are responsible for planning and implementing creative and varied programs to meet the needs and interests of all participants. Successful applicants will be responsible for the safety and supervision of participants both on and offsite and are expected to implement and participate in activities. All staff must adhere to all health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

You have the following qualifications or are in the process of obtaining, at your own expense:

- Standard First Aid and CPR level C certification- Behavior Management Systems Training (available through the City of Burlington)- HIGH FIVE - Principles of Healthy Child Development

Program Instructors/ Leaders - $22.97 / hour; Assistant Programs RCC - $17.95 / hour; Specialized Instructor - 25.92/ hour
