Summer Camp Counsellor

Youth Leadership Camps Canada (YLCC) is a Summer Camp located in Oro-Medonte, Ontario, on the beautiful shores of Lake Simcoe

Offering both Day Camp and Overnight Camp Programs, YLCC brings youth together to Dream, Dare and Do With programs offered for campers ages 4-18, there's something for everyone.

**Positions**
**Program and Cabin Counsellor**: Responsible for facilitating a fun and safe environment for your group Program and Cabin Counsellors will run YLCC curriculum-based activities and traditional summer camp activities (arts and crafts, high ropes, canoeing/kayaking, etc.) with their groups

**Program Coordinators**: Responsible for maintaining the leadership integrity for their area. There are three coordinator roles: Junior Camp (Gr. 2 - 8), Senior Camp (Gr. 7-12) and Initiatives Camp (Gr. 7-12, with off-site wilderness trips). This position is responsible for setting program curriculum, scheduling programs, assisting in program development, training staff on their programs, assisting with high ropes and waterfront activities, assisting with camper issues, and coaching their staff teams throughout the summer.

**Lifeguards**: Responsible for facilitating and supervising waterfront programming at YLCC (including kayak, canoe, and SUP activities). Lifeguard will work directly with the Waterfront Director and is responsible for facilitating all aquatic actives, ensuring the highest standards of guarding and performing other assigned tasks to assist the YLCC staff in maintaining the facility.

**Qualifications**:

- Standard First Aid + CPR C (must possess prior to start date)
- Vulnerable Sector Check (must possess prior to start date
- Experience working with youth is an asset
- Bronze Cross (asset)
- Wilderness First Aid (asset)

**Qualifications for Lifeguards**:

- Standard First Aid + CPR
- NL
- Bronze Cross (considered)

**Contracts**:
Choose either 2-, 4-, or 6-month contracts
- Spring (April 25 - June 30 *dates approximate at this time)
- Summer (July 3 - August 20)
- Fall (August 21 - October 31 *dates approximate at this time)

**Salary**: $11.00-$20.00 per hour
