**Title**: Grounds Maintenance - Crew Leader

**Reports To**: Grounds Maintenance Production Manager

**Summary**

The Grounds Maintenance Crew Lead is responsible for managing, directing and coaching the crew. They will be the first point of contact for the customer and associates, ensuring their health and safety are priority and the quality of work is up to standards.

Wage range: $24-30/hour.

**Primary Duties**
- Assist with employee training.
- Ensure job sites, vehicles, tools, and equipment are safe for associates.
- Coach staff on how to safely and properly use equipment, machines, and tools.
- Make recommendations to staff or clients using your expertise.
- Assist with the day-to-day functions and tasks.
- Keep communication open with upper management.
- Perform site inspections.
- Operate weed eaters, power mowers, backpack sprayers, power edgers, hoes, shovels, hand tools, and related landscape equipment as required.
- Use company Apps for timesheets, fuel use, truck inspections.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.

**Requirements**:

- Must have previous grounds maintenance and snow experience.
- Must be comfortable driving Truck & Trailer.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- College Diploma, Apprenticeship, CHT or CLT an asset.
- WHMIS, CPR, First AID, and safety and equipment operation certifications an asset.
- Knowledge of lawn maintenance best practices.
- Reliable transportation.

**Work Conditions**
- Exposure to plants, trees, and chemicals used in the treatment of these areas.
- Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. may be required.
- Extended periods of standing/sitting/walking.
- PPE is required, including but not limited to green omega safety footwear, safety glasses, gloves, and or hearing protection.
- Hazards associated with the trade.
- Manual dexterity required to use equipment and tools.
- Extended hours as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $24.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
