**The bigger picture**
We’re looking for a creative and motivated person to come on board as our Community Engagement Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for the advice, planning, content creation, delivery, management, and evolution of the Conexus brand as well as all of its sub-brands in a way that elevates the brand promise and reputation and aligns to the Conexus strategy and vision. Your ability to work collaboratively with others and community mindedness will play a role in contributing to our strategic objective to deepen the understanding of the Conexus difference through ongoing management and delivery of Conexus’s Community Support Programs, authentic and aligned storytelling of the Conexus brand and sub-brands, enhancing the brand’s presence at all tradeshows and events and liaising with key internal and external partners.
**How you’ll be spending your time**
- Relationship management and ongoing delivery and impact storytelling of the Community Investment Program, and Event and Organizational Sponsorship Program as well as manage and/or support community partnership execution and outreach/volunteerism for Conexus and all sub-brands.
- Creating awareness of key strategic initiatives and operational information designed for the target audience.
- Developing and delivering external communication plans, campaigns, media relations strategies and messaging, as required by the organization and its sub-brands
- Consulting on and delivering high complexity external marketing solutions and campaigns for all internal partners, departments, sub-brands and business lines.
- Developing financial literacy advocacy communications and opportunities including financial advice, education programming opportunities, materials, and content
- Collaborating with internal and external partners on all branded signage and marketing materials, marketing mediums and ensuring consistency of brand in market
- Positive and proactive brand building of Conexus and its sub-brands including public awareness campaigns and channels, public brand experience, and reputation management.
- In collaboration with internal communications teams, and under the direction of the Community Engagement Manager, support the enterprise with crisis management and risk navigation for Conexus and all of its sub-brands including critical and timely information and advice, key messages, responsive direction or tools to address crisis or business impacts
- Developing, managing and delivering the Conexus and sub-brand media relations and Board-approved spokesperson matrix and strategy including spokesperson coaching planning, key messaging and preparation/training for all media engagements, interviews and speaking events.
- Ensuring organization-wide consistency by adopting process changes; by assisting with external enterprise-driven transformational and priority project roll-out communications and by supporting others to adopt and follow them.
- Providing developmental and technical guidance to other employees to enhance their knowledge:
- Supporting and advising on the Conexus brand and sub-brand presence at tradeshow and community events.
