Temporary Full-time (1 year) Research Technician - Biophotonics and Radiation Therapy lab Sunnybrook Research Institute (fully affiliated with the University of Toronto) has an opening for a temporary full-time, **Research Technician** in the laboratory of Dr. Deepak Dinakaran. The position will be available for one year (37.5 hours per week) with possibility for renewal. **Skills and Qualifications**: - Strong knowledge of wet and organic chemistry synthesis. Analytical laboratory methods such as spectroscopy, zetasizer and electron microscopy. - Molecular biology skills required include immunofluorescence and immunohistochemical staining, western blot, flow cytometry, ELISA. - Prior experience with _in vivo _work is preferred - Prior experience as a technician in a biochemistry and/or molecular biology laboratory with diverse scientific interests; knowledge in "biophysics" is an asset - Excellent record keeping and the ability to work with collaborating clinicians and scientists provincially and across Canada / US - Must be able to work as part of a team and within a core research program. - Position will require ordering supplies and lab management. Education: Required: Masters Degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, or related field. PhD is a strong asset for this position.
