Your Role**:Accounting Lead**

We’re seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented **Accounting Lead** to join our team In this role, you will ensure financial accuracy and operational excellence while mentoring the finance team. This role involves managing financial processes, including balance sheets, account reconciliations, fixed assets, and GST filings while supporting audits and driving continuous improvement in financial practices.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee full-cycle accounting operations, including general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
- Manage fixed asset accounting, inventory costing, and cash flow analysis to support accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial package, budgets, and forecasts, providing strategic insights to senior management.
- Assist with cheque runs and prepare and submit EFT payments for approval.
- Conduct variance analysis and develop financial reports to support decision-making and performance evaluation.
- Handle the preparation and submission of GST filings and other regulatory compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and implement system improvements.
- Assist in audit processes, providing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries.
- Supervise the accounting administrator, ensuring accurate and timely processing while promoting continuous improvement and supporting professional development.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Ability to interpret data, identify discrepancies and propose adjustments where needed.
- Strong business acumen with proven full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proven ability in financial reporting and managing projects.
- ASPE knowledge is considered an asset.
- SAGE/Simply Accounting experience is considered an asset.
- Self-starter and highly motivated.
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in accounting.
- Working towards or you have obtained your Professionally Designated Accountant designation (CPA, formally CGA, CMA, CA).
