**Role & Responsibilities**

The Project Manager takes over from sales to execute on residential or commercial systems based on a detailed scope of work.

You will be responsbible to leverage the resources at your disposal, maximize job profitability, ensure customer satisfaction, and increase the company’s reputation in your territory. You promote teamwork, protect and preserve company assets, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.

The Project Manager reports to the local territory manager (General Manager).

The Project Manager supervises Technicians and Installers and works hand in hand with general contractors and other trades as selected by the clients.

**Position Requirements & Responsibilities**
- _**5+ years of Residential and/or Commercial systems integration experience**_
- A love of the construction industry & working with custom home builders, architects and designers
- Commercial installation experience preferred but not required
- Experience with installing, testing and commissioning smart home systems
- Proficient with systems including Home Theatres, multi-room audio, lighting automation and systems control
- _**Full understanding of solutions from Control4, Savant, Crestron, and other smart home platforms**_
- Lutron RadioRa2/HomeWorks is a plus
- Alarm & Surveillance systems is a plus
- _**Networking and WiFi systems is a MUST.**_
- _**Ability to sell and provide the company's solutions to customers as you manage the project is a MUST.**_
- Definition of Project Scope and Documentation_
- Assist in development and creation of the Scope of Work document for the project.
- Communicate with Sales and Engineering to ensure complete scope of work definition
- Ensure the timely completion and delivery of all project documents to clearly communicate with Technicians, clients, and others the intended wiring design, layout, appearance, and programming requirements for the individual components of a project
- Ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date, complete, and accessible
- Ensure that proposed system designs are complete and accurate and remain so throughout the course of the project
- Maintain detailed and accurate to-do list for each assigned project, including tasks such as communication, coordination, product research, issues, resolutions, equipment status, etc.
- Maintain a detailed punch list for each phase of the assigned project
- Solve problems that may arise on assigned projects, including improper design, product limitations, placement difficulties, product interfacing issues, etc.
- Project Communications_
- You are maticulous at writing daily job status reports and working with your team on future scheduling.
- Maintain good communication between the company and all stakeholders of the project throughout all phases of the project. (Sales / accounting / technicians / outside contractors)
- Manage the expectations of clients, contractors, designers, and other subcontractors to ensure that they remain realistic and attainable
- Maintain proactive and regular communications, in writing as necessary, with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders in order to keep them informed about job progress and schedule
- Maintain detailed meeting notes and/or communications log for any discussions pertaining to assigned projects for reference and historical tracking purposes
- Schedule and conduct project review and update meetings as required with sales, production, and engineering for the purpose of reviewing system design, installation procedures, methodology, or programming details
- Schedule and conduct meetings with clients or their designees to review their expectations pertaining to finish details, programming, intended use, and completion schedule
- Schedule, coordinate, and conduct client project conclusion meetings with the client or designee
- Schedule, coordinate, and conduct project close out meetings with Sales and Engineering
- Project Time Management_
- Ensure that field work is scheduled appropriately, performed with a high level of workmanship, and completed on a timely basis for profitability
- Schedule, coordinate, and conduct site walk-through during the installation process as necessary to ensure progress and quality control
- Request labour resources as required for timely completion of work
- Ensure that all equipment and materials required for an assigned project are requested, received, staged, and delivered to the project site on a timely basis
- Project Cost Management_
- Establish and maintain job costing sheets throughout all phases of the project
- Ensure that the project is delivered on time and on budget
- Ensure invoices are issued and paid on a timely basis to enable field work to continue without delay
- Create and review change orders for completeness and accuracy with Engineering
- Request prompt submission of change orders from Sales for any re-design and/or additional costs that need to be approved by the client.
